We gathered in Kartal, an area on the Asian side of Istanbul, home to Balaban the great eagle and our first Virtual Chef for kids. Balaban is good friends with Cenap, Anisa and their family café in Göreme, Turkey, who gave us a recipe for some of their favorite foods.
Connected online, we made fruit smoothies, the favorite summer menu item of Cenap's cafe. During our afternoon of food, flying and feasting, we also made Choco Corn Cookies, a variation of their family's favorite snack.
